Girl Shoves Bear to Save Her Dogs

Don't get between a girl and her dogs...

Good thing the bear was looking the other way for a moment or the young lady may have suffered the same fate as the larger black dog.

What happened to the black dog? He didn't look injured.

The biggest danger was that she's a momma bear, but I think she's pretty young. Despite her coloring she's a female black bear, and in California the females only average about 130 pounds, so as bears go, that's pretty small. I think she was totally freaked out and preoccupied with the dogs which they don't typically care to fight unless they can't get away or have cubs they're protecting, and so she didn't notice the woman.

The black dog was swatted by the bear, don't know if it was injured but it ran away.
