Got my new MRI results. If I was a horse, they would shoot me.

It had 23 words I had to look up. None of them good.

    Schmorl's node indentations
    disc desiccations
    edemas
    hemangiomas
    diffuse disc bulges
    facet arthritic changes
    fissuring
    foraminal attenuations
    abatement of nerve roots
    annular bulges
    spondylotic changes
    transitional lumbosacral anatomy is noted

    ect...ect..ect..

Mostly in the L (Lumbar) and S (Sacrum), but some also in the C (clavicle...aka...neck)

If anyone wants me, I will out back in The Roost waiting for the raccoons to eat me up.

...and here you damb arch Republicans thought i was a threat to the country.

This southern conservative disabled veteran Democrat is not a threat to anyone now.

Sounds like you have degenerative disc disease with arthritic changes.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they find something to help alleviate the pain.

Retired, That made me laugh. I keep telling everyone don't get old but what's the alternative....

While I appreciate their very detailed report, they could have at least summarized it like you just did.

I have asked my private doctor to up the dosage of my happy pills by 10mg.

...and drink GROG at night to sleep.

    An old recipe from 1725.

    3/8 cup brown sugar
    1/3 cup dark rum
    squirt of lime juice
    sprinkle of cinnamon on top
    2 cups hot water

That is where the term " groggy " came from. Sailors in the old days used to drink it after their watch. It is warm and dark and really knocks you out, but tastes sweet and good.

The lime juice kept the scurvy down.

It is a shame you are in such poor health.

There is still no excuse for wearing the treasonous party's colors.

I will stand with Harry Truman, John Kennedy, and Teddy Roosevelt any day of the week.

...and the only colors I fly are the red, white, & blue American and Texas flags.

I know this offends you greatly, but I never asked you, nor need your permission to be a loyal American.

    Thank you.
Most people develop some degree of DDD with age but often arthritic changes are the result of trauma - either a back injury per se or activities that prematurely deteriorate or damage the discs, like a lot of heavy lifting. That can cause the vertebrae to rub and bone spurs to develop which may result in nerve impingement/entrapment and chronic pain.
