    Federalizing Innovation - Always a Bad Idea

    God, I hate the Federal government:

    To establish a new Directorate for Technology and Innovation in the National Science Foundation, to establish a regional technology hub program, to require a strategy and report on economic security, science, research, innovation, manufacturing, and job creation, to establish a critical supply chain resiliency program, and for other purposes.

    https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-co.../USCIA-bll.pdf

    It is 1445 pages long with a nice title. Beware.

    Sec. 2201. Chief Diversity Officer of the NSF.

    Sec. 2518. Shark fin sales elimination

    Sec. 2521. Combatting sexual harassment in science

    Sec. 2682. Drinking water well replacement for Chincoteague, Virginia

    Sec. 2686. Initiative on technologies for noise and emissions reductions.
    Sec. 2687. Remediation of sites contaminated with trichloroethylene

    Subtitle B—Global Infrastructure and Energy Development
    Sec. 3115. Strategy for advanced and reliable energy infrastructure

    Sec. 3136. Supporting independent media and countering disinformation.

    TITLE II—INVESTING IN ALLIANCES AND PARTNERSHIPS

    Sec. 3501. Findings on strategic security and arms control

    TITLE III—MISCELLANEOUS
    Sec. 6301. Enhancing entrepreneurship for the 21st century

    It is obvious this bill has almost nothing to do with innovation. It is a grab bag.

    sounds like wall-bouncing ideas to relieve of our BoR..... mainly the 2nd A.
    The 2nd A goes, so follows the rest of our BoR.

    I should add, this will result in tens of thousands of new laws.

    I live well over 1000 feet from the highway where no sewerage system currenty exist. But that's where the central line would be built and located if approved .

    I just spent a small fortune 3 years ago to put in a treatment plant as required by local government .

    Now local government wants to increase its services (Lol. Profits with no general voter approval. Council(politicians) votes on regular rate increases.)

    It would be acceptable if they built the system and let residents decide whether to hook up or keep the grandfathered mandated sewerage laws .

    But I'm being told that there will be no choice in the matter.
    If approved, they will build a sewarage system where none is needed and force me to connect long before my forced, mandated modad system has reached one quarter of its functional capacity without a single empty.

    They tell me , Hawk , don't worry about it. We're (county government) going to run a sewerage line all the way to your house for free. Lol .

    They will never get that right of way through my yard !!!

    I'm three feet down in elevation from where the main line would be located.

    I ain't paying for a sump pump or the electricity to get waste to the main line. You can just see the multiple problems that arise from an undulating landscape and stupid people in government.

    People of all political affiliations lol at this $#@! .

    Louisiana may be red on the national scene , but almost every facet of local government is controlled by democrats and just as corrupt as Chicago or NYC.

    A dog can be be bought and sold. The dog has no say.
    A democrat in Louisiana can be bought more easily than a dog.
    And it's rhetoric is less intelligent and at best , a feeble bark .

    The bill funds many other existing public laws. This bill is designed to be unreadable and understandable without having a library of other documents to research. There is no consent of the governed as we cannot easily discover what this law does.

    Here is an example:

    This bill provides billions of dollars to "covered entities" who provide jobs for minorities.

    i), the covered entity has—(I) been offered a covered incentive;
    (II) made commitments to worker and community investment, including through—
    (aa) training and education benefits paid by the covered entity;
    and(bb) programs to expand employment opportunity for economically disadvantaged individuals; and(III) secured commitments from regional educational and training entities and institutions of higher education to provide workforce training, including programming for training and job placement of economically disadvantaged individuals; and...

    and more:

    (B) support workforce development for a facility described in subparagraph (A);

    This is training.

    Combined this will shovel billions of dollars to schools and, no doubt women owned and minority owned businesses. It sets up another massive stream of taxpayer dollars that will never end while growing larger every year.
