Answer this question for me then; why didn't the last half dozen presidents before Biden not send troops into Mexico to overthrow the government and set up a new form of government in order to stop the influx of invaders?

Because the problem is Biden and Harris. They invited the immigrants here and Mexico is just in the middle. The illegals are not Mexican. 10% are Asian. The majority are Central and South American. Again, Mexico has a growing economy with lower unemployment than the USA.

No. That might unite us when it happens, but right now, we are far from united.

President Reagan, at one of his meetings with Gorbachev said what it would take for the major powers to unite is a common enemy. That is the scenario you put forth, except you were speaking on a national scale instead of an international one.

Sure, if a foreign enemy were to attack US soil, we would very probably become united again, at least for a little while. We saw that after the September 11th attacks. The whole country came together... for about 20 minutes.
