BTW, CRT is not about acknowledging the past or righting past wrongs. It makes claims about the present; specifically, that racism is deeply rooted in American institutions and that the US is a fundamentally racist society.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

The dissembling over CRT is the result of its unpopularity with a majority of Americans. Its purveyors are apparently surprised that CRT, as originally formulated, is offensive to many Americans.

You do touch on an interesting point though. The Left's contempt for the working class and especially the white working class that used to be their base isn't anything new. I remember progressives gushing over What's Wrong with Kansas (2004) which was basically a condescending lecture about how working class whites don't know what's good for them. This is an old story. For whatever reason, progressives like to think of the Democrats as the working man's party while they routinely insult working people.
Leftists are not responsible for corporate interests moving their operations off-shore in order to take advantage of low labor costs and lower taxes, resulting in the loss of millions of blue collar jobs. Trump came along promising to bring back those jobs - how many job returned? The number is statistically insignificant, but that's how a large number of traditional Democrat voters in the rust belt were lured into the Trump camp, when Trump and anyone familiar with economics would have known the jobs wouldn't return and even if the companies returned, they would automate most of the jobs. Well, the lost jobs didn't come back and farmers paid the price for Trump's trade wars. As far as contempt is concerned, it is far more contemptuous to bait and switch in order get votes. Why do you think that those voters came back to the Democrat party? Has the Republican party done anything to encourage the development of new industry to replace those lost jobs?

Right, you think that my comment about economics shows contempt for the working class. Would it also be contemptuous if I was talking about nuclear physics or quantum theory? Many people don't understand economics, not just the working class - even card carrying, well-educated leftists. They are especially accused of not understanding economics, by the right.

Undoubtedly! I was about to ask why you think people support Trump but that would just be a rhetorical question. It's abundantly clear that you think they are either racist Neanderthals, gullible hicks fooled by empty promises or genuinely evil men. You simply don't care what they think. That's why they're Republicans. I want to thank you for your candor even if it wasn't intended.

Secondly, it amazes me how Trump is somehow singled out for not being able to live up to a campaign promise. Unprecedented! lol

Since the left are globalists then I have to call BS on that. Democrats also supplied many of the tax breaks that made American taxpayers pay for those jobs moving overseas. Yes there are some on the right that also supported the move. Globalism is a major cause of the split in the Republican party today.
The Democrats just told the unions they loved them as they screwed them. Starting with Bill Clinton's NAFTA.

If you think that any major corporation is run by leftists, you are dreaming in technicolor. Bean counters run these corporations and make those business decisions. They aren't political - they are driven only by maximizing profits and shareholder returns on investment. Whatever social face these companies choose adopt for marketing purposes is purely fictional and their charitable efforts are primarily for show and tax deductions.
