Why does the Left hate the working class?

Some interesting observations. I largely agree and have mentioned the Western Left's shift from working class parties to a loose confederation of racial and sexual identity groups many times before on tPF.

Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

The left certainly has contempt for the poor, the colored, the weak, etc, and sees themselves as their saviors. I think we're seeing a shift in those people waking up to the left. Identity politics, Woke, Critical Theory is all academic, which Malice talks about.

It seems clear that it has ceased to be a matter of class on the left at this point. The Left appeals to blacks, for example, as blacks not as a part of a larger class but what really strikes me is their contempt for working class whites who used to constitute their base.

I like how Malice distinguishes between educated and intelligent. His analogy of a lower level employee's and a manager's reaction to a company's rhetorical bull$#@! was great. It reminds me of a point Jacques Ellul made in Propaganda: The Formation Of Men's Attitudes. Well educated people are more susceptible to propaganda than those with less education.

That YouTube made no intelligent sense, I have no idea how you guys can even listen to BS opinions like that. Come on guys you're really not this dumb, are you! You could take those opinions, substitute a few turns and go off the rails in a completely different direction and you'd just be doing what this fool is doing - engaging in fictitious assumptive propaganda. Woke nonsense using your word.

Education is a complex tool but hopefully you learn there to recognize when you are buried in BS to think. Try it some time.

I'd ask what specifically you took objection to but 1) I'm quite sure you don't know and 2) you're too cowardly to engage even if you did.

    Transcript of the opening remarks:

why do you think that the left have so much contempt for the working class?

because it's a lot easier to train a smart dog than a dumb dog and i'm i don't i in general so educated college university people are much more easily uh manipulated by the media much more subservient by the media because they've been spent all these years training whereas people who are intelligent but uneducated like the working class are much more skeptical uh if you know if you're if you're a factory and your boss is telling you how you're all a big family blah blah blah you're like sure thing boss and you go you go to your boys and you roll your eyes because you know he's telling you what he wants to hear but if you're in management you might start to believe it so i think this kind of two paths to perception is a big part of it um i don't think the working man correctly believes that the media uh regards them with respect to put it mildly
    It makes sense.

Perhaps you meant you disagree but can't articulate why.

I actually brought this up yesterday in my post about the progressive assault on Individualism as opposed to self identified victim groups.

Marxism was sold as a revolution of the working class poor. Today if your a hard working white man with a modest income too bad. You need a special identity group to be a victim, and then no matter how well off or powerful you can still be one.

He reminds me of some of crackpot college professors who know how to lecture without saying anything of substance and shouting down objections from students who don't learn fast enough to keep their mouth shut if they want a decent grade.
