What Makes a Person Start Punching?

Maybe we should have an entire forum section dedicated to Fast Food Fights.

I have no idea what led up to this altercation, but we've seen a number of related incidents over the years. What could possibly happen in a McDonalds that would justify punching the workers? Years ago when I was selling real estate, I had a crazy client who threw french fries in a McDonald workers face because they weren't hot enough. But, she didn't punch.

Keep watching this one because the customer who thinks it's okay to punch the workers eventually gets what's coming to her...

Why does this happen? I would never punch employees or even raise my voice if I was not happy with the service or food. I would--and have--walked out in tense situations. In my experience, most of the time, if a customer is gracious and explains the problem, the issue is quickly resolved. I just want to understand the mentality behind this because I really don't get it.

It really has. I just can't figure out why a person acts like that.

Were they punched at home as children?

Do they punch their family members?

Why do they think it's okay?

America in many areas is losing its respect for the other, be it in politics, skin color, work situations, diversity, religion, social status, life style, education, sexuality, etc etc. Our last president played on that divisive aspect of life in a complex world. It works for many because it is easier to hate than to love. For some it builds them up, and binds them to others like them. Witness Jan 6th as a example, even our democracy is at risk when respect is lost.

*Our last president played on that divisive aspect of life in a complex world.*

Fascinating how you can totally ignore one side while pointing fingers at the other.

*Witness Jan 6th as a example, even our democracy is at risk when respect is lost.*

Our REPUBLIC was never at risk. Probably best for you to stay away from those leftwing conspiracy sites.

Now run away midcan5, it's what you do best.

According to court documents, Cleveland became upset when McDonald’s workers told her she could not mix all three slushy flavors together.

    Oh my gosh!

    Over a slushy...

Well, I think the rule about not mixing slushy flavors is a dumb one, but it's not worth punching anyone over.

She obviously has anger control issues.

    From Countryboy's link:

In 2014, Cleveland was found guilty of second-degree felonious assault in Portage County. Charges of first-degree kidnapping and disrupting public service were dropped as part of a plea agreement. She was sentenced to two years in prison with credit for 217 days she served in jail prior to sentencing. According to court documents, Cleveland was accused of throwing a woman to the ground and punching her repeatedly and then throwing a lamp at her.

Cleveland was also charged with disorderly conduct in 2014 and theft in 2013

    From Countryboy's link:
Evidently, that woman was her grandmother. She served prison time for that. Having a prior record for violence will probably get her a maximum sentence for the slushy incident. https://www.cleveland19.com/2021/06/...r-grandmother/
