People are buying first time guns for the last year and a half at a unprecedented rate. They all need ammo and their original stock is likely to be larger than their replacement stock.
Then the empty shelf demand starts.

Prepping is not hoarding. Preppers buy small amounts over time to build out what they need. They don't deplete inventories.

There is ammo out there on the Internet. But most of what I see in stock is cheap, likely Russian, ammo. You have to know your weapons and whether they can fire the cheap stuff without malfunction. My Sig and my revolver need premium ammo. My 9mm can shoot the cheap $#@! just fine.

I forget how many weeks our local stores were out of TP. But we never ran out. Did I mention that I am a prepper. And when TP came back with restricted sales it didn't matter. I only bought 1 pack per week and still have my prepper stash.
