Is the UFC really just WWE light?

First of all I don't follow this sport as when I watched more sports boxing was plenty violent enough for my taste. But obviously I know who Conner McGregor is and I have seen the clip of his leg taking off in directions it's not meant to go in.
But apaprently Joe Rogan sat down with the guy with a freshly broken leg ( both main bones) as it is splinted but before he is really treated. Basically so how do you feel about that $#@!! Conner unloaded on his opponent who he seems to dislike. I am told that he unloaded on the guy's family but since I cannot understand much of McGregor's lanquage I'm not sure what was said.

    My take is
    A) This is a real sport and Rogan is afirst class $#@! or
    B) This is WWE marketing in action

Which is it? And if the fighter actually did disparage the other guy's family what's up with that??

UFC hypes its events and its rivalries to increase viewership. It's a real sport with real athletes who sometimes don't like one another. WWE was entirely fake and rehearsed. I don't really see the comparison.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Agree. And if you've seen the footage of Conor snapping his leg, that wasn't faked! Horrific.

McGregor has threatened to kill both the guy he just fought and the guys wife. In a way the UFC is becoming more like the WWE in that two people competing against each other will not sell as many ticket as two people competing each other that really or act like they hate each other. They are definitely hyping there events more like pro wrestling did before it was scripted.

To the best of my knowledge the UFC is real although they have more rules these days than previously.

WWE is all staged managed like a Soap Opera for sports fans. They are athletic and trained in the sense that they don't hurt each other doing what they do.
