We all have at least one psychopath in our lives, here’s how to identify them... Worryingly, most people have a psychopath in their lives. Here is what kind of traits you should look out for and what you should do.


Psychopaths lack empathy and are often very self-absorbed. Sound familiar? There are a lot of psychopaths out there. I don’t mean axe murders; I mean people who completely lack empathy. It makes them behave in a very anti-social way. They act against the best interests of the community and only for self-enrichment. In my book Taming Toxic People, I explain what a psychopath is and how they behave.


Here is a summary of their traits:

• - Charming
• - Self-obsessed
• - Fluent liar
• - Emotionally manipulative
• - Completely lacking in remorse or guilt
• - Emotional shallowness and callousness
• - No responsibility for their actions
• - Impulsive
• - Parasitic
• - Fearless
• - Highly controlling
• - Vindictive
• - Aggressive and intimidating

They are in every part of most people’s lives and I suspect that you know at least one person that fits the bill. Hint: if you don’t, invest in a mirror.

I had one living next to my in my condo unit. Link. I intervened preventing the guy from escaping, so he offed himself.

He had most of the list of traits above.

Earlier in the day he was outside with his partner and he winked and smiled at me. I was on the balcony smoking a cigar at that time.

It was later in the afternoon when I heard shots being fired. I assumed it was a drive-by. And ran downstairs to look. Then the shooter tried to bolt and I was right there. He asked me to tell his mother that he loved her. Then he ended it.

I had my Sig P220 ready, but didn't need it.

It was a sad day.

I wasn't prepared for it like I was Desert Storm. But I am satisfied with my reactions.
