There's currently chatter of a complete US pull-out from Iraq by the end of 2021 . As far as whats left of US troops in Syria , they stay to keep stealing the oil , and preventing the people from farming to feed themselves .......thereby stalling the rebuilding of Syria , while trying make people turn against the legitimate Syrian government of Assad .......they still seem to think there's a remote chance of their beloved regime change......fat chance.

Are their still people in Syria, outside of ODAs doing what ODAs do?

Trump left troops in Syria to guard an oil facility from ISIL units so they couldn't sell the oil on the black market to fund their activities. I thought Joe* ended that mission. But I could be wrong.

1) Will ISIS come back ? = US interests have been trying hard to bring ISIS , but have failed .

2)Will Iran make a move politically in Iraq to make them a satellite state ? = The day General Soleimani was assassinated he was in transit to Saudi Arabia for a summit to discuss the restoration of diplomatic connections with Iran. There's also moves afoot with the recent Bagdad Summit , involving Iraq , Jordan and Egypt to revisit more co-operartive approach to the whole region , and negate some of the need for Iran to take that responsibility .

3) Are we now again dependent on ME oil ? = Who knows , and does it really matter ?
