That's incorrect . Will you ever do some real research into it ? .....Ukraine was the reason why the gas was shut off .....end of story . Germany has the balls to buy it's gas from who ever they choose , regardless of threats from US presidents - (both the loud mouth one , and the one with dementia) , and that's all you need to worry about.......live with it.

Who cares what Russia does with the rest of Europe. We certainly owe neither Russia or Europe anything. Let them deal with each other. My concerned is with a senile old man ending our energy independence while at the same time allowing Russia to expand its business. One must question where the senile old man's loyalties lie.

For starters , you owe Russia substantial credit for the defeat of NAZI Germany in a World War . They suffered far bigger losses than anyone , but still got the job done , without much assistance from the allies......and I'll tell ya exactly who cares what Russia does with Europe ....Europe cares , and Russia cares......and they don't need the US to do it .

...without much assistance from the allies...
That is a lie - you apparently don't know history.

Stalin had a hand in causing WWII - remember the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact? Remember the Lipetsk fighter-pilot school and the training of the Nazi AF? While Soviet-German military cooperation between 1922 and 1933 is often forgotten, it had a decisive impact on the origins and outbreak of World War II. Germany rebuilt its shattered military at four secret bases hidden in Russia. In exchange, the Reichswehr sent men to teach and train the young Soviet officer corps. However, the most important aspect of Soviet-German cooperation was its technological component. Together, the two states built a network of laboratories, workshops, and testing grounds in which they developed what became the major weapons systems of World War II. Without the technical results of this cooperation, Hitler would have been unable to launch his wars of conquest. https://warontherocks.com/2016/06/so...-world-war-ii/

No one said Russia was smart.

They shut off the gas through Ukraine in 2009 and left Europe in the cold.

Hey... our resident communist sympathizer thinks the Russians fought the Nazi's without much assistance from the allies. Clearly he has a problem with history.

Why would Russia transit energy through Ukraine when the government in Kiev is nothing more than a hostile puppet state installed the CIA? Would the US transit energy through a territory controlled by North Korea? Why do you guys take everything PJL says so personally anyway? As if his criticisms of the US government are somehow attacks on you as an individual? You realize you have literally no say in US foreign policy, right?

He's certainly wrong on that count. The west saved Russia and, by extension, the communist cancer which went on to conquer half of Europe for the next five decades, including Poland. Ironic, since the world war was started because of Britain's imbecilic guarantee of Polish territorial integrity.

    Incorrect.

If not for western intervention in WWII, the Germans would have crushed the Soviets.

Only because Germany was forced to fight a war on two fronts did the Soviets manage to withstand and eventually reverse German gains.

The only question is whether the western powers knowingly saved the communists due to some evil intent or if they're just massively stupid.

I tend to support the former theory.
