I'm sure there are some people who'd just love to be able to shoot progressive radicals like tin cans off a fence rail but they need to remember that violence breeds violence.

Imagine you are plinking off radical progressives and for some reason, one of the radicals gets off a shot at you and they score a hit but the hit doesn't end your life but you end up as a quadriplegic for the rest of your life, living in a wheel chair, unable to do anything but breathe. Many people would say, nah, not me but it does happen whether we want to admit it or not. As long as people are willing to take the risk knowing what's involved, I guess it's okay. Me personally, I'd rather settle things without the use of a gun since a gun makes it personal and could be permanent.

Better to sit down and work out things if at all possible.

In a civil war, MURDER is the order of the day. One side murders as many of the other side as they can.
Attitude will determine what number of tin can someone is on the fence rail.

If you want to " sit down and talk things out "...better lose the attitude that New York City is the hub of all civilization and no one else knows a dambed thing about Western culture.

Not one person is going to sit down with you if you maintain that condescending attitude.

Charity starts at home. You have some house cleaning to do.

I can talk with people from all cultures and nations....and have. I search for that common thread and find it.

You have proven to me, you can't. You think you are superior to others and do not look at them as your equal because they are NOT from New York City, and therefore dumb uncultured hillbillies and rednecks.

Are you of the mindset that anyone who doesn't come from where you are is from NYC?? Please don't ever say that where I come from because you'd be laughed out of town and never be taken seriously. Before you label an individual you really need to get to know them otherwise who is the one being arrogant?

I have spent most of my adult life working with people from all cultures and walks from life, but you don't know that so you assume. Remember, not all of us from NY or the east coast are arrogant city slickers and think we are better then you hillbillies and rednecks.

Finally, with all due respect, you need to brush up on your reading skills since my posting you were concerned about was a hypothetical situation with an honest viewpoint and was truly accurate whether you want to admit it or not.

I think somebody has to compromise on it. A pro life democrat that supports the second amendment while still keeping some progressive standpoints could work. I don’t know, what I do know is that we are polarized in a major way and it would be nice if we could find common ground somewhere.

The 2nd Amendment and all the amendments are your Constitutional rights.
Even abortion would be addressed by this because the states would individual address it on their own.

I have no idea why Democrats are so obsessed with running everyone else's life. Under States Rights you get 50 different options. Strip down the Federal Government and put the power back in the hands of the states.

And don't think that this is a rarity of conflict. Look at Europe and all its transformations and the current EU which is falling apart. It's the same size as the USA. One size government never fits all for regions with different needs and personalities.

States rights are a major issue on the right, but they would be more than happy with abortion and gun support from the White House. Guaranteed.
