I finally bought an everyday carry

I bought the sig P365 cost was the final addition to the decision....


I got lucky and got a tremendous deal on the P365 with manual safety...I know many hate manual safeties..but when your older and your dexterity isnt as perfect as it once was and you are married and your wife says I dont care how many guns you buy but please have a safety on them..


Anyway I got the gun for 450.00 no transfer fees I did have to pay tax, im waiting for it to come in and running to the range...New gun and at least 600 rds, everyday carry a 1000 rds...draw and shoot draw and shoot, repeat, 15 yds. 10 yds, 7 yds and draw and shoot 6 feet


The only other 2 guns I was interested in for everyday C was HK vp9 sk then I found they dont sell the manual version in the USA...and the hellcat which now has a manual version...its boxier and a little thicker and Ive had nothing but perfection with the sig ive owned and own now...So price made me do it....

Actually I should explain I was buying the sig and you get a spin on the wheel its a promotion they have once a year...I spun and got 50 bucks off, the guy was 499.00 and the 50 made it 450...thats the most you can get on the spin and most of them are zeros so the guy behind the counter tells me...I got lucky.

I was carrying a SW model 638 the P320 sig is just too big and bulky but its only 5 shot +P the sig will be 12+1 and you can buy a 15+1 extended mag but it would be no good to carry ...12+1 is fine

Empty to empty the sig weighs only 3 ounces more than the 638

I read an interesting story that backs up all of this.

During the COVID panic buy, a gun shop owner here told me he had some good deals on AR's but was completley out of ammo...zilch...nadda.

The guy bought a single shot break open .410 shotgun and three boxes of number 4 shot and two boxes of number 6 shot.


People were so scared, they wanted something NOW...and with the ammo.
No ammo...no sale.

I think all these new gun owners have " seen the light " and now know the cops are worthless in a riot scenario.

I keep a single shot break open .410 within easy reach here because most of the time, it will deal with any issues I have had.
...and I only use number 4 shot.
Most of the time, I just shoot the wall and whatever it is runs away.

I made a personal vow to not kill anything ever again unless I absolutely have to.



So that guy did not do too badly.

Guns can be way over priced Dave there are dealers online that prey on gun dummys I assume. Theres many that try to charge considerably over the manufacturers list. Now some guns are bought till they are out of stock over the list price, when they are are a superhot item at the time.

If you do alot of searchs you will come up with all kinds of different prices...ive seen prices from 499.00 to 829.99 and there are ripoff scam sites also that take your money and you never get the gun..

I believe manufacturers list is 599.00 for the P365
