Recent Geopolitical Developments Point to a Better Future

" During her recent visit to Washington, the German Chancellor Angela Merkel was at pains to convince her United States host President Joe Biden that Germany was determined to finish the Nord Stream 2 project with Russia. The scheme is seen by the Germans as vital to Germany’s future economic well-being. It was simply nonnegotiable. In all the plethora that the Russians are literally holding Germany to ransom over the pipeline, the fact that it was a German initiative is simply overlooked."

" Following her meeting with Biden, Merkel declared that Russia had to maintain its contract with Ukraine to continue using Ukrainian territory for the transit of Russian gas. This is a contract that is currently worth about $3 billion per year to Ukraine. Quite where the German Chancellor thought her authority came from to demand that the Russians continue to use Ukraine for transit purposes is unclear."

" Russia has vowed to continue the existing contract until its expiry which is scheduled for 2024. This is a major concession by Russia to Ukraine, which continues its anti-Russian program on all levels. They recently forbade the use of the Russian language in its territory, which adversely affects the first language of approximately one third of its population. Quite what they hope to achieve by this policy is unclear. It will certainly not endear themselves to the people of the Donbas region, with whom Ukraine remains in a state of armed conflict."

All of that is useless rhetoric. Trusting the Russians is a mistake for Germany. When Russia wants something then Germany will wish it had it's nuclear power plants back, because Russia will be threatening to shut them off..

But at least Germany was not foolish enough to believe what the left in the US believes. Windmills and solar panels will never replace nuclear, and fossil fuels.

Most Europeans trust Russia more than they trust the US . This is a great opportunity for the EU and Russia to strengthen and consolidate their co-operation as natural geographic trading partners , as it should be . As Europe steadily joins up with Asia , Africa and the Middle East , to form one big trading network under the New Silk Road , hostilities in these three regions should decrease substantially , as all countries become more prosperous , and the living standards of people begin to take priority over wars .

Did you just really say all this? Before I begin, of course, Congratulations on your .50 Yuan. Now down to business.

Most Europeans trust Russia more than the US? Ok beyond the fact that is obviously propaganda.. why would they be in NATO? Why would they panic at the thought to US troops being withdrawn from Europe? Russia has nothing to offer, they produce nothing, the don't innovate, they are not a market for any products etc.. etc.. The Russians actively threaten Europe, fly jet sorties it to the air defense zone etc.. But I suppose in the world of Chinese Communist Party Propaganda you have to say what you have to say.

Europe will never "join up" with Asia etc. to form one big trading bloc. way to complex for that. First of all Europe is Atlantic based and shipping goods and trade over water to North America etc.. will always be the most cost effective. Chinese trains through deserts and mountain ranges full of Jihadi raiders is never going to be cost effective. In addition China with it is totalitarian system and collapsing population will never be a major "partner" for any one.

BTW Your friend Russia has such great relations with the CCP that is sold a bunch of millitary hardware to India. Ah the cooperation grows! LOL

    The CCP must be eliminated

No Europeans trust Russia more than they trust the U.S.A. For you to even think that, let alone say it, demonstrates how bought and paid for you really are.

No , it's a growing global movement . It's for peace . The world is fed up to the back teeth , with America attacking every country in the world that it thinks is weaker than them , and unable to fight back . Your wars are slowly being shut down , one at a time , and your McSoldiers are being thrown out , and sent elsewhere . Eventually , they will all end up back home.....so you can finish destroying your own country from within and stop infecting the whole world with your toxic hate and war philosophy . The poll I refer to is on a tPF thread , within the last month or so , and if you missed it , or didn't take it seriously , sharpen up and start using your head , instead of always relying on your mouth , to justify your lack of wareness . It's a US poll , by the way , published in the the NYTimes (from memory) , so you can take your arguments up with them, and not be bothering me with your nonsense .
