According to contemporaneous notes taken by the acting AG's deputy in late 2020...
In the absence of an investigation and/or proof, former President Trump ordered the acting AG, Jeffrey Rosen, to "just say the election was corrupt" as part of his frantic efforts to overturn the election.
https://www.adn.com/nation-world/202...o-aides-notes/"In one conversation in late December, according to the written account, acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen told Trump the Justice Department “can’t + won’t snap its fingers + change the outcome of the election.”
The president replied that he understood that, but wanted the agency to “just say the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen,” according to notes of the conversation taken by another senior Justice Department official, Richard Donoghue."
A couple of things I wonder...
How would the right have reacted if Obama had tried to do this?
Does this merit another criminal investigation into Trump? If not, shouldn't it?
