My late mother in law would not only wash the ziplock bags but also would fold and reuse the paper napkins. It does save money and as Ben Franklin once said "A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned"

My late Mom would dry her hands with a paper towel, then place the paper towel on the dish drainer to dry out for reuse. She lived as a little girl during the depression, so some of those frugal habits stuck. I have no problem with people who do these kinds of things, not being wasteful is a virtue.

I have some of my mother's tendencies. I will save lightly used napkins and paper towels for use as fire starters. Wadded up and saturated with 91% isopropyl alcohol, and used in conjunction with kindling, they work quite well.

My mother had to wash cloth diapers before they had disposable!

And the sealing plastic bags are underrated because air is the enemy of food preservation as well as room temperature. That is why long lasting vacuum sealed products expire soon after opening even when refrigerated.

Love Led Zeppelin, but as a concert band they suck, studio is awesome. And I say this from personal experience.

I'd imagine us older ones had moms or at least grandparents that grew up during the depression. They not only learned to save a penny, they learned to stretch that penny.

My mother taught me that if she didn't teach me anything else.

Have heard it, still don't like them live.

Some of the best live rock and blues rock bands I saw live are Kansas, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Grand Funk Railroad, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd and the Almond Brothers to name a few.

BTW, you don't have to @mention me if you quote me, quoting me notifies me.

Washing them can be a pain, but in the long run they are less expensive.
I ordered them and Mrs. U is very pleased.

I understand thrift. Especially when I was starting my own business and had negative income but I can't understand those that refuse to flush the toilet after each use. I always made sure I went to the bathroom before going over my friend's house as a kid. His father figured it was an event only for every few days.
