    Post Ohio Court will not follow Eviction Moratorium

    Franklin County, Ohio, will not follow the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eviction moratorium, according to an order issued by administrative judge Ted Barrows Thursday. Barrows writes the court is legally bound to follow a federal appeals court ruling from last month that determined the CDC overstepped and does not have the legal authority to impose a moratorium on evictions.

    Judges in Toledo's Housing Court and the Hamilton County Municipal Court made similar rulings Thursday.

    This is the genius of our system. There is great autonomy given to states and further to counties in these matters. It is not a federal issue. In China the Communist Dictators can set nationwide policy by fiat and have the party thugs on local level carry it out in brutal fashion.

    Right answer. This was clearly a lower court trying to over rule the Supreme Court. Good for those counties and their judges.
