Mine actually did a great job. Both lasted for about 2 years of sealing up the garden goods but they just don't seem to last that long. The first one just lost it's vacuum and the heat ribbon went on the second. I still have a bunch of the bags. I would build my own sealer if I could figure out the right temperature. Once I am retired and build the water carbonator to get rid of sodastream.

I have a, Food Saver vacuum machine.

Yeah..I just didn't want to advertise for them.
I also use it to make fire starting kits for camp fires. Toss some tinder, kindling, and a few wood strike anywhere matches, and you got instant fire that's waterproof from go.
