I love to golf. I'm not very good at it. I used to be a lot better but I played a lot more. When I played 2-3 times a week, I'd regularly shoot 41-43. Now, I'm at 46-50 - once a week. Of course, I'm older now and not as flexible, torn bicep etc.
Question: I bought Ping G410's in March. Haven't taken them out of the box yet b/c of the weather. I bought stiff flex b/c that's what I always use and I was concerned about whip if I bought regular flex. One of my buddies think I should take them back and get regular flex b/c of my age (59 in October). Thoughts?

Been playing since my 30's.
I'm a member at a local golf course in Frederick and play 2 to 4 days every week.
The golf course has an association that holds competitions every other Saturday.

I used to be a golf caddie so I always had access to the golf course at least once per week and took full advantage of it. I once caddied for Eddie Furgol, who won the 1954 US Open. He made playing golf look so easy.
I'm a hacker at best although my drive shot's are generally up the middle. It's my short game and putting that give me such a high score. I can be on the green in two and then putt five or six times to finish off the hole.
I have a set of Wilson Staff Iron's that I won at the annual caddie dinner raffle some 40+ years ago which I still have and use. Somewhere along the line I picked up some Hogan woods, tho' not sure about the model number.
It's a good sport for exercise if you walk; golf carts are for either those with medical conditions or those who suffer from laziness.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.
Haven't golfed regularly since the early 80's. Two torn rotator cuffs and bad hips, I prefer to just watch. Was always a hack. Didn't care.

I finally broke 100 the other day. I have come to love those nine hole, par three courses! To me G O L F is flog spelled backwards. I played golf for business purposes but have no love for the game.

I have golfed, but I don't golf. That being said I highly recommend this charming book on the subject (whether you golf or not)...

We only have 113 golf courses in my county, but getting a tee time can still be tough in the spring and fall.
I used to play all the time but with my eyes, I need good friends or a caddy to aid me in tracking the ball.
I may have to try out this service.
Actually I grew up across the street from a golf course. Used to go out and smash balls with an aluminum baseball bat, amazing driver, but putting? not so much
