Yeah, you make a good point, however I think that Biden listened carefully, thought about 2400 Americans who lost their lives, for literally nothing, and said "$#@! it; we're out!" The BS is just over.

Just read a list of the Taliban's loot. Holy $#@!. How embarrassing.

Given to people everyone knew would not stand as they are not invested like many people in their country. Would you be? It's a $#@!hole with borders drawn for them by others that pretty much lacks paved roads and a threat in the mountains two super powers failed to extinguish?

I don't how a president can survive a situation like this. After all, he created this.

I’m 20+ year US Army infantryman. What’s going on right now is both pissing me off an breaking my heart. I never though I’d see our president humiliate our military like this. I’m beyond pissed off. I hope most Americans are just as pissed off.

When it comes to conducting a large scale military operation a president receives advice from several sources. Every contingency is considered. The better question in my mind would be, why did he disregard the advice which included the worst case scenario?

The second question would be, did the Secretary of defense and chairman of the joint chiefs simply sit back and not press the president to examine such advice?
