Yes. He was a little shaken the second part of the first half after the pick. The second half though was a different story for the young QB. Day didn’t back off from letting his QB thrown and that was a real confidence booster that will pay dividends down the road.

My concern is the defense. Way to porous. We got a break when their stud tailback went out of the game because we had no answer for him.

Clemson and Georgia should both be worried. Last year when the two best teams in the country met in the championship, Bama steamrolled the Bucks, but the Bucks still scored 24 and had 341 yards of offense. The lowest points scored for a loser in such an effort was Bama’s 16 in 2018 when Clemson won. Sat night—a FIELD GOAL each!? A field goal of offense suggests major problems no matter who the opposing defense is. TY 256 to 180. If things don’t improve, these teams are going to be very disappointed as the season progresses. Bama and OSU both put up over 40 in their openers with brand new QBs. The Bucks did it on the road at night in the rain.

It’s a long season…but the Dawgs and Tigers should be worried. Not that one of them lost. But that their offensive performance was so poor. UAB next week for GA. If they don’t score at least 40, be worried. SCST next week for Clemson. Same admonition.

Clemson will start to put up numbers but that will be due in large part to their weak schedule. This game was their one true test.

Clemson looked terrible on offense. I thought they played well on defense.
Clemson is done. They can still win the ACC but they will not likely even play another ranked team this year, unless some Cinderela story comes out of the ACC.

Georgia gets the gain because they beat the number 2 team with a very good defense.
I agree that the status is unknown.

OSU only played unranked MN and was in trouble several times. They are also a wait and see.

    Oklahoma barely beat Tulane.

After Alabama it is almost time to pick a straw.

I saw one commentator wanted Cincinnati in at #4. For beating Miami-Ohio?

The Bucks were never “in trouble”. Yes, they are a wait and see but
on the road at night in the rain new QB - we managed to score.

I hate the big 10. They’re idiots. There are 14 teams in the big 10. WTF?
