    The difference in death rates can be seen at the county level too.

    The chart below plots the death rate in counties vs. how they voted in 2020.

    The higher the plot, the higher the deaths.
    The further right the plot, the more people voted for Trump.

    You see that the general trend moves upward to the right as more people voted for Trump.

    Counties that voted 70%+ for Trump had a death rate 3x higher than counties voting for Biden

    Still no sign of any movement to decrease the carnage.

    Mississippi now has the the second highest death toll per capita. Even more than New York. Only NJ is higher.
