Should we get rid of the Feature of Rating threads?

The leftness has been having a field day rating all the thread the last 2 days.


Currently at 8:22am Central standard time. We have 4 of the Left on the site. One is Doc Who and wouldnt resort to this petty $#@!.


Always check who is on, then View them, which will let one know what they are looking at. Any searching forums are suspect. Check the forum and note threads rated, then note which ones just was rated. as most just starting wont have a rating. Do this at night, afternoon, Early morning, Mid morning, and evening.


I have been watching for the last 2 days. Then sent a message to the Admin. As he will know who is doing it for sure.

We all know who is doing this and why. Instead of a contribution they seek to disrupt the Forum and then gloat about it.

Cowards all and I tired of it along with other rule abuse.

Off-topic but what I'd like to see is an option to read treads with all but plain formatting turned off. Just show plain text. Emoticons and pictures, ok. But eliminate all the damn colors and special fonts and large text. I for one have trouble reading it. The eyes don't know where to focus.

I have spoken to many on the Right telling them their threads had been rated terrible. Many did not know the threads could even be rated.


Even threads that didnt have any posts other then the OP. That were posted up by those on the Right. Were rated terrible. One Star. Even if the link provided was from a Leftist News Source. Same goes for threads wherein there are several pages and posts in the thousands with that thread were rated terrible. Despite all that activity to that thread.


IMO since guests looking within the site cannot rate threads, and that the majority of the Right wasnt rating threads. That tells me that leftist members are rating the threads as terrible. Trying to discourage discussing any of those topics. Truly being petty and trying to shutdown those threads.


Mods give out warnings to people for discouraging people to not post in threads.


The goal of this site is to grow. Attract more membership and to have constant activity going on the site. Activity meaning people posting and moving discussions. That would be for Interesting Topics or not so interesting topics.


Again this is a way to discourage discussion. We have had this happen a few times since we set up the site. Rating threads by leftists as terrible. Whether due to not liking people on the Right. Or what they want to discuss.


I think the Admin and the Mods should remove this feature off of threads. As it only hurts the site from growing and having more activity on the site.


P.S. To those Petty people doing this. Your Pettiness has been corrected. Yes and the same, goes for Threads Posted by Leftists. Their threads were corrected too.

I actually noticed the rating of threads now that I read your post... I think the feature is quite frankly pointless as it really does nothing. If it bothers folks then sure, get rid of it. It doesn't bump threads up or down so I don't see any use to it anyway.
