Researchers Accidentally Discover World's Northernmost Island Due to GPS Error

A team of Danish researchers thought they were traveling to the world’s northernmost island—they discovered an island even further north instead.

A team of Danish researchers are claiming to have discovered the world’s northernmost island, more than a kilometer off the tip of Greenland. The discovery was a complete accident. In July, the researchers set out for the island of Oodaaq—up until now considered the world’s northernmost island—to collect samples, and ended up in the wrong place.


The newly discovered island, which the researchers intend to name “Qeqertaq Avannarleq” (Greenlandic for “northernmost island”), is roughly 30 by 60 meters large and largely consists of moraine, gravel and marine mud. It may have been formed by a large storm that pressed these materials together, according to the press release, and could just as easily disappear in another one.

I have 2 daughters that are educators...My oldest daughter has 23 yrs...SHe loved it and she told me the other night she literally hates her job shes not allowed to "TEACH" anything shes only allowed to follow a specific script...

She works in a Majority Minority High School in a Liberal Blue State shes been there 21 of 23 yrs teaching...she says they teach and preach racism and everything is white peoples fault and they do not teach them any skills that are necessary to SURVIVE in the real world.

So I said their teaching them how to be BLM and Antifa rioters then...she laughed and said more that than real high school graduates.

They do not teach cursive in her school system...So I asked her how do these morons when they are given a diploma fill out papers at the Drs Office...or sign a check, or do anything else that requires longhand...She said they will have to punt or get a senior citizen to write it for them...
