    The fault for Afghanistan is on 4 presidents really. It should have been a 2 year mission tops. Then misson leap to nation building in a hopeless situation that was easily identified as such. But at least Bush and the neocons did have cause to go in and kick ass and get out. They had no real justification for Iraq. Then Obama stayed with both wars with his drone bombing practice in an allied country. Then trump worked on leaving Afghanistan and likely would have had he had the opportunity. Then Biden well you know that story.

    Then we could have left- but with SOF ODAs working with the friendly tribes like they do over much of the world.
