I live at the beach in SC. But that is exactly what you face in the spring. If you went inland to Williamsburg from VA Beach then you would have been about 10 degrees warmer and it would have felt warmer than that.

Cold and damp just doesn't feel that great.

Winter is very bearable on the Bayou. Usually.
Grow mustard greens, turnip roots and greens, spinach, tendergreens, cabbage, lettuce, kolrabi.
You can grow most of these any time but the bugs will wipe you out here in the heat.

Don't need any pesticide in the winter.

CB, winter is not so bad when you don't have to deal with hurricanes.

Fall and winter, definitely the best seasons. It's much easier keeping warm than, trying to cool off.

I even open the window a little at night......then wrap up in the blankets.

I can't wait for the days to get shorter, who wants all that sunshine in Arizona?

The sooner it gets dark, the sooner I can go to bed!

After that one year we continue to vacation in March but in Florida.

LMAO. My wife and I joke about having to wait for dark to go to bed in high summer. Based on what one of the kids said when they were little "Why do I have to go to bed it's not even dark yet" But soemtimes now for us it's "Why can't it be dark so IO can go to bed" LOL

I guess we are not the only ones?

No, you're not the only ones.

My kids would say the same thing, it'd be almost 9 and, not completely dark yet........I told them to just close the blinds all the way.

I like it getting dark at 5 o'clock.....I also like the sound the sleet makes when it blows against the windows......winter is my season!
