As I noted, the indictment includes quotes from the FBI assistant director's notes in which he points out that the lawyer's firm represented the DNC and Clinton campaigns. The FBI already knew who the guy worked for, even if he didn't disclose that we was there on their behalf. They were not conned into chasing a fake story. And, as I've also noted, this meeting occurred well after the FBI investigation of Russian interference was underway.

Against my better judgment, I went ahead and read the Greenwald piece. His entire premise is that the media was wrong about the Alpha Bank story. But the Alpha Bank story was a tiny piece to the Russian investigation. Hell, as he notes, Mueller didn't even mention it. It was a minor side show and irrelevant to any of the broader issues. Anyone who thinks that this implicates Clinton's campaign in any meaningful way is nuts. Indeed, you could make a reasonable argument that the fact that the FBI and Mueller looked into this story and found nothing shows that the findings of the broader Russian investigation were not a hoax. They were perfectly willing and able to dismiss allegations that proved false.

I'm beginning to think Durham is related to the yeti.

Earlier I said this was a 25 p[age indictment; it is 27 pages. For one count of lying to the FBI it should have been one page. It is 27 pages because it is giving warning to others involved. More is coming. The only question is whether the big fish are going to be protected or not.

No, it's 27 pages because Durham is trying to hide the fact that this is nothing and it's all he has.
