Don Lemon, Joy Reid criticize Gabby Petito story over race

This is really hard to believe. These two twist a tragic story into their CRT crapola.

Don Lemon, Joy Reid criticize Gabby Petito story over race

During Monday night's broadcasting of popular CNN and MSNBC shows, hosts Joy Reid and Don Lemon argued that the case of Gabby Petito, and the subsequent national attention the case has garnered, is evidence of widespread racism in the United States.

During The Reidout with Joy Reid, she argued that the Petito case is an example of "missing white woman syndrome," a term reportedly coined by the late PBS host Gwen Ifill.

...On Don Lemon Tonight, host Don Lemon argued with fellow CNN host Chris Cuomo about the Laundrie family's ability to hire a lawyer, and how many poor Americans and people of color cannot afford such a service....

I wouldn't say it's racism but when have we ever had a national media fuss over a black person mission...

That said, it's really in bad taste to make those connections.

The two "networks" that these two race baiters work for never report on missing African Americans is because there is not an opportunity to cry racism, and thereby have nothing to talk about in their racist minds that would allow them to have any credibility, which they do not.

I wouldn't characterize it that way...

If a black kid looks up to a basketball player partially because he can identify with him on the basis of color, is that really racism?

Human beings are tribal by nature... Skin color, country you grew up in and things like that will always play divisions.

I would. They're race-card playing, no philosophy to it.

Personally, I found the Petito story irksome. One, I find the focus creepy, you know how the story will likely end. Two, the coverage it received covered up Biden's fiasco in Afghanistan.

I'd agree that they are race-card playing but I wouldn't characterize two people as "the media"... Kind of a broad stroke, don't you think?

Yeah, I remember the left saying the same thing with that Elizabeth Smart fiasco... I think the media finds a story that gets attention and milk it til it's dry. I think profit is the motivating factor more than anything else.

OK, only mainstream media coupled with a leftist agenda. You can see them start to do that will the border crisis in Del Rio, trying to turn that into racism.

Even then, I don't think that's the underlying focus... Race relations between black and white folks sells high on the ratings chart in this country, just a fact of life... The OJ trial for instance, sold very high. The Rodney King fiasco, sold very high... How many people give a crap about white on white or black on black crime? If you want to blame someone, blame the public... This is the crap we, the people, are interested in...

I remember back in the early 2000s, I saw this contrast... A) A bomb goes of in Israel... Got about 30 second of attention on the news channel. B) Britney Spears went to church... I heard about that crap for about a week.
