I had a book once go to some place in Washington DC, was lost, Amazon replaced it, then a couple weeks later the first copy arrived.

I hope it was a good book, now that you have two copies.

I've had pretty good luck with anything fulfilled by Amazon, I guess because it's in their warehouse. Non-warehouse items, on the other hand, are shipped via courier or USPS (or combinations of both) and may hopscotch from airport to airport around the country. The chances of being lost or getting waylaid, increase with every change in airport. I haven't had anything that was lost yet, but there have been rather unreasonable delays.

Yes, Lenovo is Red. CCP Red. But look on the bright side. You are probably getting free extras: like back doors for spying purposes.

A real issue has arisen. The old laptop can handle the OS running Chrome with a few tabs open but I usually operate with several windows open, one for forum and news, one for email, messages, etc, and maybe a third to explore how to do something or what to buy. I tried that today and this old laptop was brought to its knees. I think the issue is not enough RAM so it starts swapping to harddrive and thrashes because so many open active URLs.

So it's time to explore buying a new computer...
You could try a Linux Distro with a lightweight GUI, like XFCE...

I might install Linux on my Chromebook under Chrome OS. Takes about 10 minutes, you end up with a Debian 10 (Buster) environment. If I want to use it to do any software development that's the first step. But I'm retired from all that so....

No. No personal info. Retired is all I'll say.

Fair enough... Lol, if you're like 45 though, then I'd like some tips!
