Another war our government would not allow to be won

Losing this war was not the soldiers fault.I t was the fools that sent them in Washington.

Civilian leadership needs to take some blame, but current senior military leadership does not think strategically. They are focused on tactics. They know how to wage war in a tactical sense. They have no idea as to how to end one. They are clueless as to what happens after the battles are won. It’s been that way for decades now. Basically since the Korean War and beyond. Our general officers do not know how to interact and advice the civilian leadership. They need to study the General George Marshall method when he was FDR’s senior military advisor.

One of the big problems is that they also have little understanding as to how to execute counter insurgency operations. The way they handled post combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan created sympathy for the islamists.
