    FREEDOM still lives !!!

I have always said repeatedly on here and anywhere else I am asked....MY PERSONAL definition of modern freedom.

My personal definition of modern freedom is solid, concrete, and measurable.

Can I have a case of military caliber ammunition ordered over the internet and delivered right to my front door ?
A case being defined as 500 rounds or more. Measurable and concrete.

    IN TEXAS...the answer is YES.

    https://palmettostatearmory.com/bulk-556-ammo.html

This is not the stuff i bought, but I could have if i wanted to.

    *********************************************

Rather than dink around with vague concepts, I choose this one to check my freedom against.

It means the politicians in my state and locality see me as a responsible citizen able to accept this responsibility wisely, rather than someone to be feared and controlled.

    *********************************************

I accepted delivery of some .22LR ammo today as this particular brand is loved by my one and only 22 rifle.
It is kinda hard to find and these people had it.
CLICK...CLICK...SEND...a few days later...here it is.

    FREEDOM LIVES !!!

...but tin cans and pine cones tremble at the concept.

Ammo is freedom! Well I'll be.... for criminals, robbers, mass murderers, etc that works well. Freedom for some of us is not being killed by some nutcase who bought his ammo around the corner.

Eric had been looking into the Brady Bill. Congress had passed the law restricting the purchase of most popular semiautomatic machine guns in 1993. A federal system of instant background checks would soon go into effect. Eric was going to have a hard time getting around that.

"Fu-ck you Brady!" Eric wrote in his journal. All he wanted was a couple of guns - "and thanks to your fu-cking bill I will probably not get any!" He wanted them only for personal protection, he joked: "Its not like I'm some psycho who would go on a shooting spree. fu-ckers."

Eric was rational about his firepower. "As of this date I have enough explosives to kill about 100 people," he wrote. With axes, bayonets, and assorted blades, he could maybe take out ten more. The ability to defend oneself against the nuts out there is a measure of freedom.

That one is very much into controlling others--ostensibly to make himself feel more secure.

He wouldn't know freedom if it bit him in the butt.
