It's all about gaining shoppers, so don't think walmart is going to change its stripes.

You know you have jumped the shark when you are trying to convince hourly workers at Walmart that they are overlords of an oppressive system!

Well, I asked my search engine if Walmart held government contracts.

The result was; "Buy Federal Government Construction Contracts at Walmart.com"

I think I am going to try to order some!

However, I have to think that Walmart has some type of government contracts, especially for disaster supply. So the CRT training is no doubt an unwritten rule of the Biden team that want to create racism. Getting the races to fight gives them control over minorities.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

The local lefties managed to get a planned Walmart banned from Inglewood CA long ago, a place where a lot of entry level jobs would have been useful as well as low price goods to low income minorities. But NO it was an evil Capitalist enterprise so they opened in a mostly White and much wealthier city.

White Workers with any integrity will not put up with this latest nonsense of course, and I would rather pay more than support Racism!

Although the version I endured was less extreme, I've actually been through a new-fashioned training program via my new employer (a grocery store).

Of course there was a racial sensitivity program in place when I first joined in the spring of last year after abandoning my teaching career rather than try and navigate a doomed-to-fail system of exclusively online learning I neither could adjust to nor believed in. This first training program was a normal one of the kind you're used to seeing. It was a video clip contained within a larger, all-purpose training video that advised you not to volunteer obviously, idiotically racialized opinions of the sort that very few people outside of Alabama, Tennessee, and Arkansas ever would. For example, don't assume that all black people play basketball and, if you do assume that, don't actually voice that opinion to an employee or, worse, a black customer. Avoid injecting someone's race or sex or sexual orientation into the conversation; the odds being extremely low that you would anyway. Maybe 5% of people actually needed to be told that, I suspect. That simple segment was our first sensitivity program. You were then asked to identify an example of racial insensitivity in a brief computerized quiz afterward in case you were stupid. And that was it. The group of us who watched the video together laughed at that segment due to the implausibility of the race discrimination scenario (a white guy employee tries to convince a black customer that he (the customer) is into basketball despite the latter's repeated, polite insistence to the contrary because "all you black guys love basketball") and terrible acting. Standard covering-your-ass corporate PR stuff so they could say they trained you in common sense when in reality it's the corporate boardroom making you watch this stuff that's visibly got the much bigger race (and sex) discrimination problem to judge by its composition.

Then George Floyd was murdered and we apparently needed to be re-trained to know that it was a bad thing. Now we all went through a computerized program with a test at the end exclusively dedicated to the topic of discrimination, mainly centered on race discrimination in particular. This new version was quite a bit more extensive. I would classify it as the woke version in that this version informed us that we shouldn't aim for color-blindness anymore like the old material suggested because bigotry is primarily subconscious and so are acts of discrimination most often unintentional, but harmful and unacceptable nonetheless. There were five scenarios presented this time around, out of which I can vaguely remember two. One was a scenario in which a wealthy suburban white woman tries to conceal her marriage to a very polite, professional, and all-around respectable black man who owns his own business from her neighbors for as long as possible because she's embarrassed by the color of his skin. What that had to do with us employees I don't know, but it was based on the actual experience of the digital host, who had been the victim of such a situation, so it was important for him to discuss his marital problems with us just as we'd be forbidden to do with customers or co-workers. In another scenario, a white woman follows around a Muslim man with a head covering on around the store out of suspicion because of his religion. I don't recall the other examples specifically anymore, but I do remember who the perpetrator was in all five of them: white women. And that all five of the victims were non-white men. I remember that because it stood out to me the most. They covered their asses on charges of sex discrimination though by including a couple brief remarks (delivered by our male host) about how much more often women are interrupted than men. I remember the video making frequent use of the term "white supremacy" because only white people can be racists, although it did avoid using the touchier term"whiteness" like some others I've seen do. The test itself was fairly easy if you digested the scenarios and I passed on the first try. I kind of wanted to complain about feeling demeaned because of my race and especially my sex afterward (I knew the execs who made me go through this were almost all white men, so I knew they didn't actually mean any of the racial critiques, but the implication that women exclusively are bigots felt like something they might really mean), but I resisted the temptation out of not being stupid because I'd certainly have been fired if I griped as a Karen. I did feel kind of psychologically abused by my employer though.

That said, to judge by the description at the link, our second training program was nonetheless much less obviously political than this one being adopted by Walmart. It didn't include sweeping proclamations about American history, no "affinity groups" were organized, there was no (formal) requirement to embrace guilt and shame, and no denunciations of the concept of objectivity that I can recall. That stuff would all be applications very, very specifically indeed of critical race theory. It doesn't exactly surprise me to learn that Walmart's entire board is white with the exception of one token black guy who's there for PR purposes. The board of the company I work for is similarly all-white except for one guy and all-male except for two white women, one of whom is a Muslim one who wears a head covering everywhere I've noticed whenever there's a store walkthrough (i.e. most likely is there primarily because of her religion so the company can say they promote diversity). Their demography conveys the facile nature of all of this. They clearly, visibly, demographically don't mean what they're lecturing the rest of us about. We can all see that, you know? We can all figure out that this is a PR game aimed at blaming and penalizing us peons who work practically for free for problems far more evident at the top of the company that they don't want to own themselves.

I am thinking we need to have TPF's CRT training session. We need videos, examples etc..

Polly mentions the real issues are in the board room of the corporations. I think our issues are mainly in the Mod Room. What really goes on there? Why is there only one woman? Is she paid the same?

Why has Safety been silenced recently?

    Is TPF's systematically racist?

Did Admin use slaves to set up the original server?

Did Common in his past as Law Enforcement ever throw a transgendered Muslim Hatian refugee in the paddy wagon with too much force?

We need all the Mods to provide their private Text and DMS so we can look for key microagressions or worse. Do we have John Grunden in our midst?

I am not comfortable going forward unless this is all brought out!

Regarding board rooms, I would expect that people are their by merit. People more concerned with diversity over merit shouldn't get into business.
