Where was this? I spent yesterday in the lake Okeechobee area. I saw a lot of confederate flags there. FJB flags too.

I saw the news segment. But when I looked it up on the internet, the incident was nowhere to be found. But I did find other websites that spoke about various bad things happening to various people over their use of the Confederate flag. Also, what is an FJB flag.

The sons and daughters of the confederates group was founded by a black man. The old black man with the flag in one of those pictures was once the president. He was in NC during the protest. I didn't go but it's probably for the best. A white young white liberal kept getting behind him in a interview. I have a temper and don't like punks disrespecting our southern men.

I saw this on the news a while back. There was a couple in a store and the man was getting hassled by cashiers and other customers over wearing a Confederate flag pin. Needless to say, all those giving the couple grief over this were black. The morons. Who are they to complain. Because in Africa, slavery is still going on. And if it wasn't for slavery, those blacks wouldn't have even been there. Sure, it would have been better if slavery never happened. But it it couldn't have been all that bad. Because there were many slaves who were able to not only eventually buy their freedom, but the freedom of family members and others as well. I think the Civil War is yet another example of history being written by the victors. I have some pictures on the matter that may interest you.

My family isn't even from the South. No black man ever served in a combat role. They were slaves, not free men who served as servants to the officers who owned them.

The Confederacy was not about slavery to most people in the South. It is also the same issues that we face today with a few abusive large states, trying to control the states through the central government.
Lincoln stated clearly that he was not going to get rid of slavery but he found out that the war was about more than that. Freeing the slaves had mor to do with keeping the English out of the war by changing the narrative to a moral one.

...yet he DID NOT free any of the slaves in the border states.

I heard a story of a small isolated town in Kansas that had slaves and no one told them they were free until 1867.
