State Department recognizes 'ze/zir/zirs' in celebration of International Pronouns Day

The State Department engendered extensive backlash on social media after celebrating the diversity of pronouns from the department's Twitter account. The U.S. Department of State celebrated International Pronouns Day, encouraging the public to "share their pronouns," including the neutral "ze/zir/zirs," via its Share America blog.
