They are now pumping almost no oil. It is not price. It is human capabilities.

Mexicos PEMEX used to be equally inefficient. It existed to create jobs. If your husband worked at PEMEX and he died then the wife got his job. When she was unable to do it, then they hired someone else and she would be a full time employee sitting in an office doing nothing.

Venezuela should be producing at the same cost as Saudi Arabia and that is $9 a barrel. $60 or $100 dollars still means the money is pouring in when they are efficiently run. Venezuela lost all their engineers and managers that knew what they were doing. The Russians, Chinese and Iranians are there trying to bolster their production. But not for free.

That’s not rude. I mainly listen to radio for news. NPR primarily. I’ll occasionally watch Fox and CNN and PBS
