I don't think it does either. That said, it may have recovery benefits. It's actually banned for athletes in certain events but that's fading.

I'm sure there's some positive results, but performance enhancing isn't one of them.
I don't know of any major sports governing body which allows it's use. I don't expect that to change until it's legal nation wide.

Well, silly or not it's still banned in the NCAA, international and professional sports. Attitudes and state laws are changing, but the sports governing bodies aren't. B
The international anti doping organizations have removed it as a performance enhancing drug though.

No one should have their career impacted because they tested positive for MJ. IMO, that's a travesty.
