Well more like evil vile hatred and all it can do. My wife is watching a movie about the march in Selma in the 60's. About MLK. He didn't have to go looking for racism in little micro aggressions it was real, serious and deadly in the American south under "liberal" or at least democrat "leadership " of Wallace and LBJ. Unspeakable acts like the missiing missionaries and "Mississippi Burning" Good old boy beat downs of black men with no investigation. Three bathrooms outside southern gas stations. Hell in the 80's they told me that blacks who tried to live in Ocoee Fl were pushed out. The next town over was their's.

I believe that all off today's children should see this movie and others like it and allowed to draw their own conclusions about what real racism, hatred, cowardice is and how that compares with the microaggressions or systemic racism of today. to know how real and awful it really was but also to know the lies of those who say it is just as bad now.

No one seems to look at the sheer extent of concentrated poverty in inner cities vs the much greener places where rural poor grow up. Neither "side" looks at this as a root cause.
1) We know that while poverty does not equal character in any way, percentage wise poverty increases the likelyhood of many so called "social ills from alcoholism to DV and many more. No one disputes this.
2) No one disputes that this effects kids negatively and exascerbates ( again on average) negative behaviors
3) Yet no one seems to connect those dots and say "Well maybe the number of impoverished, in some cases, poorly supervised, roaming teens per square mile MIGHT be a significant to teen outcomes? The sheer number of bored teens with bad ideas within hang out distance as well as the same for unemployed young adults might just be a factor in how the neighborhood works or doesn't work? Who'da thought?
4) I'd even go one step further to say that the behaviors then cause poverty and the vicious circle begins. But it turns faster in dense concentrations of poverty.
