You might want to avoid putting any personal information into the phone for the first 30 days, in case you decide not to keep it. What you think is deleted on an iphone isn't. People question why they clean out their phones before the upgrades and then see the files they got rid of transferred to the new iphone. That means the phone kept what you deleted.

Apple is easier to learn than Android. Very instinctual. Get the iPhone 13 for sure. I have the 12 and it's a GREAT phone that takes amazing photographs. The photo editing system is top notch also.
You won't have any issues learning. Might take you an hour tops to master it. Also the Apple products are far less prone to viruses. I have Malwarebytes is about it. Never had an antivirus program on any of my Apple devices. Never had a virus on my iMac or MacBook tablet either. I switched from Windows around 15 years ago and I'd never go back.

I've been anti-Apple since I discovered that Apple is so proprietary, however I am now considering the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It offers essentially the same features as the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for substantially less money. Since I don't add parts to my phones, Apple's proprietary nature isn't really an issue. Plus, there is a shortage of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultras, so I would have to buy my phones outright off the internet or from someplace like BestBuy - that's a lot of money for two phones, so I'm undecided. My carrier doesn't have the S21 Ultra, but they do have the iPhone.

I don't use a cell phone for enough to make any flagship phone worth my money.
If you use a cell phone enough for that, you would get sucked into Apple proprietary apps such as iTunes for one example. IOW, if you don't get sucked into Apple propriety apps, you don't need the flagship Apple phones.

My problem with the Apple products were similar. Plus I hated iTunes with a passion and having to use third party sources to change media to work on apple products. Then is also did not work with flash at the time, or the general "our way or no way" approach. No explorer on Apple kept you from even seeing what was on your own phone.

Actually the features that attract me to certain phones tend to involve the hardware. For instance both of the phones that I am currently looking at have exceptional cameras, processing speeds and superior battery life. They also have large screens, so I don't have to strain my eyes to read internet content or watch video. I rarely use my phone for music so iTunes are irrelevant. I'm not a big consumer of apps, so that isn't really my focus.
