The most remarkable aspect of Western unabashed hypocrisy.

The rights and wrongs of China’s efforts to maintain calm in its restive Western province of Xinjiang are extremely fraught and cannot be elucidated in a short article.

    Loss of life .

The US (abetted by the UK and Australia) in the so-called ”War on Terror”, has killed 168,307 Muslims in Afghanistan; 297,564 Muslims in Iraq; 66,368 Muslims in Pakistan; 252,600 Muslims in Syria; 112,011 Muslims in Yemen. (Data: Watson Institute, Brown University, Rhode Island, US).

It now expects the world to believe that it is concerned for the human rights of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, although the only known deaths among them occurred in Islamic extremist terror attacks. No mention is made of the Urumqui bus bombings and attacks, the Aksu bombing, the Hotan attack, the Kashgar attack, to mention but a few.

    Detention

With 4.2 per cent of the world’s population the US has 20 per cent of the world’s prisoners. The US incarceration rate is six times greater than in China. The incarceration rate of Blacks in America is six times greater than whites.

Indigenous Australians make up 27 per cent of the prison population, while they are only 2 per cent of the national population. Under Immigration Law, Australia holds about 1500 people in indefinite detention, without charge, their only “crime” being to seek a better life in Australia.

Most of the Muslims who died in the War on Terror were terrorists, but, yeah, it's too bad we were there.

However, China's ethnic cleansing of the Uyghurs is happening right now, and has been documented by Chinese journalists who risk their lives to get the truth out to the world.

China is aggressive and also sneaky. They're also pissed off because the west is standing behind Taiwan and ready to recognize it as a country on its own.

Australia is just another alley that the US will eventually have to make do without.

I have no influence on such things , apart from be a collective part of Australia's population .......but I know the public mood on such things , and where it will eventually lead.

That's right. This is your best post ever - no hypocrisy, China's totalitarianism is out there for all to see and you champion it:

China is intolerant when it comes to dissenting activities or discussions . This is understandable considering the US is always looking for them , so they can train , finance and encourage them to sow as many seeds of destabilization as possible . China just snuffs them out quick , and moves on . Hong Kong is testimony to this.....it works , and US can't get a foot in the door .

There's nothing to misinterpret. You support totalitarianism. It's really that simple.
