I park way out because my daily driver is a 1 ton dually and it’s not good in tight parking lots. Lazy people who can’t put a cart in the cart corral irritate me.

One time I was at Lowe’s and a dude had his German shepherd on a leash. The dog stopped and $#@! on the floor right in front of me. The clown ignored it. On that occasion I asked the idiot if he he was going to take care of his dog’s mess. He said “no, I don’t work here.” I politely told him that he’s not going anywhere until he takes care of the mess. Just then a store employee walks up and gives him the supplies needed.

i watched him clean it up. He told me “I better not see you outside.” I said “yeah that would be good if you didn’t you effing dip-$#@!.”

I park far out, no matter what I'm driving, the truck, for sure, there are some parking lots I won't even take it, because they're too small.

Some people, huh? So entitled, they get angry at others because they have to clean up after their dog?

Did he meet you in the parking lot?

I didn’t see him in the parking lot, but then I wasn’t expecting to.

One must wonder just how handicapped the driver is when they get out of a tricked out pick up truck with oversized tires requiring a ladder to get in the cab. I don't see those who might park in a handicap spot without a handicap sticker or tag. I do see a lot of issues with those who misuse the privilege by using another person's validation or has a very sympathetic doctor who gives them a tag for a stubbed toe.

I also take exception to the increasing number of "privileged" spots like "Mothers to Be" or the like. Although admittedly, like Mr. Wolf I appreciate the Veterans Only spots at Lowes although I have no idea how they might enforce that. Most Mall parking lots are owned by the malls and as such are private property and unless a store files a complaint the police will not ticket an "improperly" parked car (except for Handicap Parking since those are generally controlled by the city or state.

There may be exceptions to any rule. (For instance, the speed limit in a particular place may be posted as 30 miles per hour. But for an ambulance to exceed that posted speed limit--perhaps by a great deal--when someone's life is at stake, is certainly understandable; in fact, it is even desirable.)

Ive never seen that, but I did see a guy with a cherry 38 Chevy coupe who had it set up with hand controls as he was paralyzed from the waist down.

This is a very good example of just why there are so few "handicapped" spaces available--anywhere: Many people who are perfectly able-bodied park in them--after all, these spaces are closer--thereby making them unavailable to those who really need them.

And there is always the convenient rationalization: The person parking there (in blatant violation of the owner's intentions) will only be a few minutes, anyway.

One has to wonder just what good it does, in the end, to mark off certain spaces this way...

On one occasion when my last dog was fairly young, we decided to take him into a PetSmart. He was completely housebroken and never had any 'accidents' in our house or anyone else's, however, we weren't in Pet Smart for 5 minutes before he peed on a pillar. I was mortified and ran to get something to clean it up. Fortunately, they are always prepared for these accidents at PetSmart and happily handed me paper towels and spray cleaner. I guess the whole place must have smelled like dog pee to my dog.

In New Mexico, the only way a cop can ticket you for parking in a handicapped spot is if someone calls and lodges a complaint.

I personally, don't think there should be any such thing unless it is for a ramp equipped van that requires more space than usual. Of course, I also think the ADA is stupid and places an unnecessary burden on businesses.

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of drive up ATMs have BRAILLE on the buttons so they can be operated by a blind person. Who is stupid enough to actually think a blind person is driving the vehicle? This is a great example of how absurd these laws are and how intrusive government has become.
