I think there's something else going on here. He's been in quite a bit of trouble for a while. I think he just melted down.

It really doesn't make any sense. I agree that Brown has some major cognitive issues going on and the Bucs did the right thing in removing him from the team.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do next. If they release him he can clear waivers and go to any team. He could possibly go to a team who will play the Buc's in the playoffs. They should probably keep him and suspend him until it's too late for him to be picked up by another team.

He's so talented some coach might think he can get through to the guy. That is probably unlikely to happen. He's more than likely finished.

That's not a bad idea, it will definitely help the Bucs by preventing another team from picking him up.

According to Spotrac, he needed eight more receptions, 55 more receiving yards and another receiving touchdown to hit three separate bonuses that would have earned him $333,000 each.
Those certainly weren't out of reach.

It seems there's another story as to why this happened. It's said that he didn't think he was healthy enough to play.

Normally I'd say Brown is done, but he's so talented some coach may think he can turn him around. Brown could have been one of the greatest of all time. He's still a very capable receiver.
I think Brown is done. Other organizations will see the the Pats couldn't control him, Tom Brady couldn't control him. If he was 26 I could see him getting another chance, but he'll be 34 next year.

Tom would have made sure he got his money whether he hit the incentives or not. Brown is just not all there mentally. The bad hit he took 6 years ago hasn't done him any favors.

It's reported that he will be put on waivers today. If clears waivers, which he probably will, he'll be a free agent. I think that no one will want to take a chance on him, but strange things happen. A contending team which needs help at Wide Receiver may take a chance on him. He's still a super talent even at 34.

He only played one game for the Patriots and was suspended by the NFL. He had something like two practice sessions with them. The Patriots never really had much of a chance with him.

People seem seem to forget the Raiders signed him to a big contract then released him for conduct detrimental to the team before he played even one game.

The Steelers let him go when he was in his prime for a reason.

The only thing Brady could have done was to ensure Brown got the chances to meet those incentives. The team would not have paid them had not achieved them just because Tom Brady said to. There are occasions where a team paid the incentives if the player was prevented from achieving them through no fault of his own.

I don't believe a concussion is the reason he acts the way he does. He had a long history of bad behavior prior to any consession.

Actually he was told to get in the game twice and he refused.
So apparently the story that they were holding him out was false. I heard that also originally.

    Antonio Brown needed:

8 more catches to unlock a $333,333 bonus.

He also needed 55 receiving yards to unlock another $333,333 bonus.

He also needed just 1 receiving TD to unlock another $333,333 bonus.
    Let's go Brandon !!!
