I saw one of these signs out by the pumps at the AM/PM where I used to go to get gas. (Which come to think of it, is a whole other punch line.) You know how they put up these signs to make you come in and buy food since you're there anyway. Whoever the genius was who thought this would be a good way to sell microwave taquitos apparently never heard the term "tasting something twice" in its usual context.

I find that the older I get, the less fast food appeals to me.. Several times lately I've been out running errands and I think about stopping somewhere for a burrito or a chicken sandwich, or just some French fries...and after thinking about it seriously for a couple of minutes I just go home and make a sandwich. It's ridiculous to spend money on overly processed, unhealthy crap food when you have food at home in the fridge and the pantry that will probably go bad before you get around to eating it.

They used to be much better. When I was a teenager, my best friend worked at a taco bell. They had pressure cookers on site, and cooked dry pinto beans from scratch. They also cooked up fresh ground beef. I worked at a chicken place, and we would trade company largesse, lol. I used to love the Bell Beefer, which was basically a hamburger bun with taco meat and fixings. The chicken place I worked at had these giant turkey breast fillets that were cooked in a pressure fryer, they were used in a sandwich called a Gobbler, and came with a side of cranberry sauce. Those were my buddy's favorite trade.
