Virginia: 2022 Legislative Session Convenes Today

    From an email.

The adults are back in charge in Virgina and Bloomberg will no longer set policy here. Expect changes.

    So far as guns go:

Today, January 12th, the Virginia General Assembly begins the 2022 legislative session. The anti-gun majority in the House of Delegates, previously bought and paid for by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is no longer in power. Once again, there is a pro-Second Amendment majority in the House.

Lawmakers have already filed a number of bills to undo the damage wrought over the past two years, including:
    • To protect Virginians from localities creating a confusing patchwork of anti-gun ordinances across the state,
    • To reduce areas where law-abiding citizens are left disarmed and defenseless, and
    • To eliminate the fee for a concealed handgun permit in order to expand access to this fundamental right to all law-abiding citizens, regardless of economic means.

Transformative Bills to Watch in Va. General Assembly This Session

As “wounded healer” Ralph Northam moonwalks out of the Governor’s Mansion and “cheerful suburban dad” Glenn Youngkin settles in, the Commonwealth of Virginia is back and open for business.

The 74th governor, who enters office tomorrow, promises bold change starting on Day One. And the Left is openly seething with rage.

Virginia's New AG Fires Civil Rights Division, Will Start Prosecuting Cases Dropped By 'Social Justice' DAs

Great move. Likely pissed off Soros.

Within hours of taking office, Virginia's newly sworn-in Attorney General Jason Miyares (R) cleaned house - firing dozens of lawyers, including those in the Civil Rights division - and announcing investigations into the Virginia Parole Board and Loudon County Public Schools.
"George Soros-backed commonwealth’s attorneys are not doing their jobs," said Miyares in May 2021 comments to the Arlington County Republican Committee.

Liberal billionaire George Soros has repeatedly poured thousands into prosecutor's races in Virginia. In 2019, Soros provided a significant cash infusion to three winning progressive candidates, Parisa Dehghani-Tafti in Arlington County (nearly $1 million from Soros); Buta Biberaj in Loudon County ($850,000 from Soros); and Steve Descano in Fairfax County ($600,000 from Soros). Soros spent about $200,000 in a prosecutor's race in Norfolk this year. His candidate went on to win the race. -Fox News

God Bless Governor Youngkin, God Bless the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Communist nightmare, while not defeated totally is in retreat.

    Yep.

Miyares Fired Dozens in Virginia Attorney General's Office.....

One day before being sworn in as Virginia Attorney General, Jason Miyares gave 30 staff members in the office notice that they would no longer have their jobs in his administration.

There were 17 attorneys among the fired staff across multiple divisions.

While many claimed the entire civil rights division had been fired, LaCivita said that was not true.

"AG elect Miyares is looking forward to fully analyzing and evaluating the entire Office of the Attorney General in the days and weeks after the Inauguration," she added. "After he’s had time to do this, we will announce any other office changes.".....snip~

Only 2 were fired from the Civil Rights division. But you know the leftness once conniption sets in. Gotta get the lies going.
