It looks as though we're hitting the peak and it could drop off rapidly from here--as it did in Africa.
Some think this could put an end to the pandemic--because Omicron is so infectious, but mild, that we could see herd immunity rather soon, after which it could be gone. Others think it will dwindle, mutate, and flare up again.
I hope Omicron wipes it out. I'm so ready for life to go back to normal.
My local hospital has beds in the hallways and they're using the ER as beds as well. It's crazy. They're not transferring out because the nearby hospitals are also overbooked.
But, that could all end soon.
