Now heres the truth, some of the richest people in the city and the most Politically Connected are landlords. They always get what they want...its the soros syndrome...hey ill do it he gives me lots of money....same principal

Minorities and the Poor have been living in degenerate conditions for years
I have known people that do Section 8 housing. They like the idea that they get their checks from the government every month instead of trying to collect from tenets that answer their new iphones to say they don't have the rent.
But trying to get rid of a destructive tenet or one that disturbs the other tenets is near impossible and has additional steps added to the normally difficult process. For every tenet that does not think they should be treated poorly, there is a landlord that thinks he should not be treated so poorly.
In most businesses you can refuse to sell to a customer. As a landlord in these situations you can be forced to continue selling to a customer that not only refuses to pay but destroys your assets. So, you should also feel bad for the building owner when his building gets burnt down.

The heat in these building is centralized and controlled by the landlord. They must only maintain 62 degrees in your apartment in NYC but we know that often does not happen because of both tenets and landlords. Tenets break and open windows since they don't pay for heat and repairs. Landlords are looking at doubled heating bills this winter and can't toss out people that won't pay rent.
But No it has to be racism because the numbers, we should have more poor white people dying in fires like this.

BTW these multi-story low income housing monstrosities is what Liquid Guy advocates for LA. Tear down the houses and build more of these overcrowded death traps!

I think they should build them. In a nice place like Beverly Hills. Why shouldn't those that preach this stuff get to share in the satisfaction directly.
