While at first blush, I sympathize with this sentiment, I have to disagree for reasons that are somewhat orthogonal. The practical reality of the situation is that America is an ideological state that WAS predicated on freedom and individual responsibility, where individual responsibility was predicated on a Judeo-Christian moral foundation. Some of America's founders were areligious, or proto-atheist, while most were Christian and or Deist. In the mid-19th Century Marxism began to gain mindshare, and during and following WWI, it gained traction due in large part to the mass slaughter of people, and their subsequent loss of faith in Christianity. Contrast that to the South in the American Civil War, where Christian faith remained strong; or, in the Muslim world where it remains strong to this day. Right or wrong (my point isn't to defend Christianity), the failed moral system of Christianity (let's call Christianity an ideology for now so that we're using modern terminology) had to be replaced. In the Soviet Union, that was replaced with communist ideology where the communism became the religion, the state became God, and evil became everything non-Communist. In Nazi Germany, Aryanism became the religion, the state became God, and evil became everything opposed to the Nazi state. In the West, the Social Gospel and later Welfare State became the religion of its major faction, the State became God for the adherents of that religion, and evil became everyone who disagreed with their religion. In summary, the Welfare Statists didn't escape the ideological trap of the Marxists or Fascists either, and the Welfare State has failed to address many social issues, in some cases making them worse. The Democrats are that faction in the United States. By contrast, the Republicans in the US used to oppose the Welfare State, but have become more or less a Whig party whose ideology has become capitalism. Efficient allocation of resources is the religion of capitalism, the market is its God, and its enemy is anyone opposed to free markets. This iteration of modern Whig Republicans has abandoned the defense of a distinct cultural heritage. So they are more or less useless in the culture wars.So where I fundamentally disagree with you is that you cannot sit and wait for the Democrats decide to become better people. They have to be fought tooth and nail, and you cannot rely on the Whig Republicans to do that for you. They only believe in private property, free markets and the rule of law. In the Supreme Court, they are pretty much the more recent SCOTUS appointees since John Roberts. Even Trump really didn't appoint any significant conservatives.

The mid-20th Century Democrat party thought leaders largely became atheist and hedonistic (I mean that in a clinical rather than pejorative sense). With the Sexual Revolution (birth control + antibiotics), they embraced a strict legal equality between men and women, disposable family units, and single parenthood. It has been a disaster. They also embraced social hedonism including licentious sex (pleasure principle over mating and/or Darwinian Sexual selection), alcohol and drugs. This has also been a disaster, and much of today's homeless population is the net result.

That will not work either given that they are systematically stuffing ballot boxes and foisting their ideologically pure has-been back benchers like Joe Biden on us. We do have to crush them, but allowing them control of ballots and vote counting is also a recipe for failure. Today's Democrats are practically anti-civilization. They represent a return to anarchy, violence, and humans living as mere animals.

The progressives are today's bad guys, and much more to be feared than Al Qaeda, ISIS, or the Taliban. They are the big bad guys on the planet, along with the Chinese Communist Party.

Well, that's a matter of probabilities. It is already happening.

It's not just politicians. The media and academia play a big role in it too. It's funded by some very wealthy people like George Soros and others. It is programmatic. It's not random or happening by accident either.

Yes. He, not Trump, was the most divisive president of the modern era, and by quite a long shot. Let's be honest, he was far more glib than Trump, and he got away with it because Democrats have a lot of guilt for their past.

They've had a lot of help from people who like to exploit cheap labor, which may seem like circular logic, but there are such people who aren't necessarily democrats.

Through a process of programming what you see and hear. That is why colleges and universities are hotbeds of official ideology, and the so called news media has about four parts of ideological "reaction" commentary for every one part of hard news reporting, which itself is riddled with bias. Much of that is directed by the state, which consists of unelected bureaucrats that disburse funds to the media through the intelligence community, and who are never fired and their policy actions rarely changed as a new political faction takes power. The Civil Service system--designed to thwart the Spoils System--has become more corrupt than the Spoils System.

Do you think it would help? This thread has a picture of Joe Biden (who passed the 1994 crime bill that led to mass incarceration) shaking hands with Robert Byrd, former Grand Wizard of a KKK branch. People like jet57 have been raised and educated to believe precisely the opposite of what is true, and it takes finally getting red-pilled until they open their eyes. So something has to unfairly adversely effect jet57 from that faction until that occurs. Strangely, it is only a self-preservation instinct that and a disbelief in the viciousness of establishmentarian attacks that typically makes that occur.

It's not just the communists. Joe Biden recently gave a speech more or less saying, "Do you want to be on the side of the evil Democrats or the good Republicans? Because if you want to be on the side of the good Republicans, you must be in favor of passing a piece of legislation which guarantees they will never be elected again." It's that kind of weird in the country right now.
