We have two cat "brothers" who've been together since they were tiny at the shelter. They're almost 15 years old now, and they still cuddle, groom one another and sometimes just lie close together touching paws. A few of our cats do that to us, as well, whether we're sitting on the sofa or in bed - just reach out a paw and put it on one of ours. Sometimes just for a few minutes, and sometimes they fall asleep that way.

My cat would climb to the top of her "cat tree" in the living room and then tap me on the top of my head when I walked past. I really miss that cat. She was Siamese and would sit on my lap and talk to me. I guess she was telling me of all her adventures hunting mice in the fields around the house so I would listen patiently.
