To be fair, no one knew what we had in the early spring of 2020. The mistakes after that were horrific and government pretending that they were doing something. They often did. They made it worse.

Once more was learned, we should have been able to do just what I said.

We shouldn't still be doing this 2 years later.

There was never a legitimate reason to do this in the first place. Viruses are not new, coronaviruses are not new. Mortality data was available within a few weeks of the virus being discovered. It was obvious from the very beginning that 9 out of 10 people had very little to worry about from this virus. Nothing has changed since then except that some people are now starting to become less hysterical.

There was a time when vaccination of the elderly and high risk persons made sense and was a matter of choice. The vax mandates is what really set me off!

The lockdown issue is a very mixed bag and my impression is that many of those in power simply did not want to let go in a number of States. Again the most vulnerable could stay home and stay away from people.

And could have been, if there were more people like you and some others around here who walked into businesses calm, cool, and collected like, with no mask, and not making a deal out of it either way. Be/act agreeable like, then just don't. What the blazes is so hard about that?

I agree in theory. Two problems.

A totally non-responsive CDC. They could not even collect the data in a couple weeks. never mind inform us. The CDC collection lags by weeks. Funny thing when you have faxes, emails and they could even break out the old telex.

Along with a total lack of preparation there was a total denial of knowing what came from China by Fauci and Collins who knew exactly what was unleashed.

Then the mistakes just piled on by the CDC. They screwed up the tests. They opposed travel bans. They got caught lying about masks...
I see the US Government version of healthcare to be a total failure.
And some people think that the US government should be responsible for healthcare with this record.
    Let's go Brandon !!!
