OK, perhaps my terminology isn't correct. My understanding is that a correction isn't just a momentary slip down and jolt back up. A correction would be a large drop for an extended period of time.

Yes, it's obvious I don't invest in the 'markets', I prefer lower risk tangible assets.

To be more precise a correction can be in regards to a short term , intermediate or longer term perspective. The time frame it's addressing can and often does mean a short pop and drop to an intermediate and longer term grinding out in a sideways fashion for prolonged periods of time known as " consolidation"

Of course the obvious result of listening to him would be to run to hedge funds or short the market. That would profit himself. However, he may be absolutely right.

Interest rates will necessarily rise. The US has kept them artificially low since 2008. They likely won't rise to historical averages. (4-5%)
